Jeanette Chavez was born in Havana in 1980. In 2004 she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts San Alejandro, Havana, Cuba and then became a member of the Cátedra Arte de Conducta directed by Tania Bruguera. In 2009 she graduated from the Hight Institute of Art (ISA), Havana, Cuba. She is member of the Unión de Escritores y Artistas de Cuba (UNEAC) and Asociación Hermanos Saíz (AHS). Currently she is living and working between Cuba and Germany.
